Nationally, Dairy Queen and CMNH have partnered for more than 30 years raising money to help children across North America. In that time, Dairy Queen has raised more than $130 million nationally. Locally, DQ restaurants have raised more than $263,000 for Renown Children’s Hospital since 1988. More than $19,000 was raised by local Dairy Queens during last year’s Miracle Treat Day.
All money raised from Blizzard purchases on August 2 will stay in the northern Nevada community to help fund state-of-the-art equipment and provide support for services and education programs at Renown Children's Hospital. This year’s fundraiser will help Renown Children’s Hospital purchase two AccuVein devices which allow care providers to locate veins more easily and decrease the stress and discomfort of IVs for young patients.
Participating DQ restaurants in the region include:
  • 1501 Prater Way, Sparks
  • 3198 US Hwy 50 E, Carson City
  • 1750 US Hwy 395, Minden
  • 1041 Grass Valley Rd., Winnemucca
  • 865 W. Main St., Fernley

Renown Children’s Hospital is the only dedicated children’s hospital in northern Nevada, and offers a variety of programs and services designed specifically to care for the community's families. It has the region’s only Children’s ER and Pediatric ICU. Renown Children’s Hospital is the only hospital affiliated with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) in the region and local CMN Hospitals' programs and events directly benefit children in the Truckee Meadows. It is also the only hospital in the region affiliated with CHA (Children’s Hospital Association). For more information, visit renown.org/children.
