A new book or toy can bring a smile to a child’s face – no matter their age. Thanks to the generosity of students at Sage Ridge School, young patients at Renown Children’s Hospital will have their pick.
Tuesday, October 11, 4 p.m.
Each year, Renown Children’s Hospital helps more than 26,000 children. Thankfully we are far from alone in helping these patients – from newborn to age 18. Our community continually steps up in a big way. The latest example of this is a book and toy drive held at Sage Ridge School.
Sage Ridge freshman, Jackson Bellard, led the effort asking for new book and toy donations. Items such as these may seem trivial to most but these everyday items help young patients and their families feel more at home and cope with staying in a hospital.
In addition to the donations we receive from the community, Renown Children’s Hospital provides special visits from performers and superheroes, as well as offering a healing garden, therapy rooms and Child Life specialists. All of these programs and services are focused on helping patients of all ages heal.
