Here in the Truckee Meadows we’re fortunate to have a number of organizations committed to inspiring better health – especially for the underserved. Through December 2018, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and Renown Health will work together to provide much needed immunizations and case management to all ages.

Focused on a joint vision of improving health for the underserved, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and Renown are partnering to help northern Nevadans of all ages.
This collaboration centers on Renown’s support of the Kids to Seniors Korner Program (KSK). KSK provides vaccinations and other community-based services to at-risk seniors as well as low-income children and their families. During regular visits to low-income neighborhoods, KSK provides immunizations as well as health assessments, food, clothing, referrals to other agencies, as well as education on safety and wellness.
“We are excited to see this new partnership provide critical services to those in need,” said Yvette Myers, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada director of outreach services. “By the end of this partnership in December 2018, we will have immunized more than 4,900 people and provided case management to more than 560 seniors.”
“Renown is committed to making a genuine difference in the health and well-being of the communities we serve, but we know we cannot do it alone,” said Wendy Damonte, vice president of advocacy and community partnership at Renown Health. “We are fortunate to partner with organizations like Catholic Charities that are able to help so many underserved northern Nevadans receive care they might normally go without.”
