This year, Safe Kids Washoe County is partnering with The Summit for Safe Kids Day on Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The family fun safety event will have safety education on everything from safe sleep and road safety to bike and home safety, plus a car seat installation check, bike helmet fittings and CPR training. Participants will also enjoy free festivities, games, giveaways and prizes.
Media is invited to come out to a demonstration of just one of the things families can learn about at Safe Kids Day: vehicle safety. SKWC and Renown Children’s Hospital are teaming up to show how hot your car can get on a warm day as well as what the blind spots around your car mean for child safety.
